Seb Edmonds

After applying to several insurance companies and speaking with multiple brokers, we kept hearing the same thing. Within a day or two, our applications would be rejected because of my husband’s medical history. He was born with Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA) and has undergone several heart surgeries over the years, which made finding life insurance incredibly difficult. My mother-in-law posted about our situation in a Facebook group, and someone recommended Seb Edmonds from Mewstone Mortgage Advice. We started emailing back and forth in April, and what followed was a long journey. Arranging life insurance for Jake was far from straightforward, and it would have been very easy for insurers to simply reject the application and leave it at that. Instead, Seb went above and beyond every step of the way. He spent countless hours researching our options, gathering medical information, speaking directly with underwriters, and challenging decisions rather than simply accepting them. When the initial outcome wasn’t what we’d hoped for, he didn’t give up. He kept pushing for further reviews, explored alternative solutions, and genuinely exhausted every possible avenue to try and secure cover for us. Throughout the process, he kept us fully informed, was incredibly supportive, and showed a level of dedication that is rare to find. We always felt like he was fighting our corner and doing everything he could to achieve the best possible outcome. While the cover isn’t exactly what we had hoped for, it’s so much better than having no cover at all, and we’re incredibly grateful to finally have something in place. After months of setbacks and rejections, having any cover at all is something we don’t take for granted.
